Exe Mitre Hotel - Barcelona

Tbh, had a very good stay for the Christmas holidays. Everything was cool, perfect location to the most popular sights, the staff were attentive. We had airy, spotless room with a balcony.

Views appeared to be quite bad.

The hotel was nicely located a little outside Barcelona center, which was very nice away from the noice. The rooms were a good size, price was really good, and breakfast was impressive!. We can only recommend this place.

The bed was comfy, and the room was quite spacious.

The shower fluctuated between very hot and very cold, making it unsafe, especially for children.

I love the jacuzzi bathtub in the room!

The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area just out of central Barcelona. The nearest tube station is only 150m from the hotel and it ntakes mless than 10 minutes to travel the six or so stops to Catalyuna in central Barcelona. Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained, the breakfast (we used the service only once) was excellent, and the reception staff were efficient, polite and helpful.

The refrigerator in our room did not appear to be working, though bit was really no inconvenience to us. We were surprised when the woman who cleaned our room asked us for a cigarette (presumably as a tip) on our departure.

The air conditioning was a total disaster and made for an awfully hot night. It's shocking that they thought that was acceptable. And, oh, the staff? Almost nonchalant about helping-did I ask for additional towels or just for a miracle? I almost gave a good review but just couldn't, considering how everything fell short.

We like the nice terrace on the 5th floor.

I do not thing that there was something disturbing my 5 days stay there.

A. Weak internet connection, no shampoo provided, noisy outside

The hotel was clean and very close to station El Puxtet. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The airconditioning was a bit tricky to work with.

Accomodation in Barcelona is genarally expensive but e Mitre is a great value for your money. Clean, 24h reception with helpful english speaking personel. Rooms might seem a bit small, but if you stay long enough in your room to bother, you are spending your holiday in bcn the wrong way! Metro station is very close, and around metro station there are places to get an early Xocolata croissant or a late Cerveza.

You will have to get the Metro to get from Rambla (center) to your room (unless your are willing to walk the 3.5 Km). On weekdays this means you have to return by midnight or take a taxi.

The room was clean and well-maintained.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning was a nightmare. It failed to work adequately, and I was left sweating through hot nights. Most frustrating was the lack of concern from the front desk staff. They seemed indifferent when I raised my issue. Even when I expressed urgency to switch rooms, I was told that all were booked. The bathtub was also a hazard- high and slippery, it felt unsafe to use.

Decent, clean hotel in a very quiet area of Barcelona. Room was big enough. Ac was working fine. Room was cleaned properly. Water jets in the bathtub are fancy.

Breakfast is overpriced, so include breakfast in your booking if possible. The hotel is in a very quiet area, so don't bother to have lunch or a drink around your hotel. Metro (or more precisely: the t7 Renfe) is within 5min walk, so you can reach anywhere else in Barcelona very quickly.

The room was very clean. Room service was good. Easy access to L7 metro (El putxet) ~ 40 meters. 7 minutes walking to Lesseps metro station. The area is not touristic, so you will see fair prices in the shops around. Basic supermarket is few meters away from the hotel. I think LCD TV will be good for anyone who knows Spanish (not us). The hydro-massage bathtub is a nice experience. Everything was very good relative to a 3 stars hotel.

We had two beds in the rooms although we asked for one double bed. You will see many reviews here claiming that the fridge is not working. I thought the same situation happened to me at first but we realized that it just gets shut down when you leave the room. If you want it working 24/7, keep your room card inserted in the electricity switch all the time. We had a problem in adjusting water heat, either so hot or so cold, but you can live with that. Wi-Fi connection was poor inside the room, but gets better near the door. You can use the computer in the reception if you have problems.

Just an excellent fit for a brief retreat in Barcelona with very good value for money. The friendly staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, made our stay all the more enjoyable. Be aware that the light switches are a bit tricky to navigate.
